    REGISTRATION

    The IAHPEDS Board of Directors and the Tokyo Organizing Committee have worked hard to make this WC affordable. The initial requirement is that all attendees must have current or new IAHPEDS membership. For all professionals, the price is $40 for one year. (All prices are in US dollars). Student membership is $20. (Use this link to join IAHPEDS or renew your membership.)

    For WC registration, we will have a three-tiered system of payment depending on whether an attendee is from a high-, middle- or low-income country of residence. See this webpage for a country breakdown.

    This is an excellent 3-star hotel within 15 minutes walking distance to the WC venue.

    We have negotiated a special rate for IAHPEDS attendees booking from 4-9 July 2024. Rooms at these rates are limited, so it is HIGHLY recommended that you book early. All payments will be in Japanese Yen, so conversion to $US will be based on the current exchange rate. One night:

    Single (queen-size bed) – 10,545 Yen – Equivalent of $75 at an exchange rate of 140.6 Yen to 1 US dollar
    Double (1 king-size bed) – 12,654 Yen or $90
    Double (2 queen-size beds) – 15,466 Yen or $110
      * These prices are subject to change.

    Anyone interested in booking rooms at this hotel will not be able to do so directly. Rather, information will be collected using the form below and participants will pay at the hotel upon checking out. 

    Only July 4-9, 2024 are guaranteed at the negotiated rate. Dates before and after may be possible based on room availability. No credit card information will be requested.

    Is July a good time to visit Tokyo?
    Yes, it is! If you're a fan of Japanese festivals, July is a perfect month to visit Tokyo. From Tanabata Matsuri celebrations at the start of the month, to the breathtaking Sumidagawa River Fireworks Festival in late July, there are great memories to be made throughout the month.

    What is the weather like in Tokyo in July?

    The average temperature in Tokyo in July is 25.7ºC (78.3°F), and it rarely drops below 20ºC (68°F). You will likely experience some rainy days, especially in early and mid-July. Make sure to bring breathable clothes that you can feel comfortable in.
